This week in Science lesson, Year 4 learned all about the human digestion system. We were hardly prepared for the demonstration that awaited us! We learned that the first part of the system is the teeth (building on from our teeth work last week) and we learned about the journey our food makes down the oesophagus, through the intestines and… beyond! The demonstration was not for the faint hearted but it was really interesting to see what happens inside us and how we turn our food into the energy we need for each day.
