Times Tables

The national expectation (decided by the government) is that children know their multiplication and division facts up to 12 x 12 (e.g. 6 x 4 = 24 and 24 ÷ 6 = 4) by the end of year 4. At the end of year 4, children sit a Multiplication Tables Check (MTC), at Christ the King all we want is for our children to be confident and ready so that they have the best possible outcomes moving forward in their maths. Multiplication and division facts should be seen as on of the principal building blocks which provide your child the ability to access all areas of maths and higher reasoning/ problem solving challenges.
