Topic at Christ the King  is made up of four subjects Geography, History, Art and Design and Technology.

Our Topics are designed to ensure breadth of knowledge and understanding and allow children to immerse themselves in  a subject. We foster children's creativity and engagement through engaging sessions.

Children study their topics for a set period at a time, allowing the children to research, investigate and learn in a variety of ways.  From Autumn term 2, we have started to use the 'Primary Knowledge Curriculum' for our Humanities subjects which sets out a clear scheme of learning in terms of required knowledge, skills and vocabulary. Our creative subjects are then linked to this. For example, in the Autumn term Geography unit, 'Spatial Sense', each phased are making a structure based on somewhere in London or a contrasting locality.
