The Islington fostering service is looking for more foster carers to look after local children and young people of all ages. The care and support foster carers provide is hugely rewarding and seeing them develop and achieve is a life changing experience for both the foster carers and the children and young people.

Could you help?

All Islington foster carers receive 24-hour support, generous allowances, a dedicated social worker and on-going training opportunities. Islington is an Ofsted rated Outstanding Children's Service.

What is fostering?

Fostering is caring for someone else's child in your own home, providing care and support to a child or young person when they need it most.

Who can foster?

You don't need any formal qualifications but you do need to be good with children and be able to keep them safe. Foster carers look after children and young people from many different ethnic, cultural and religious backgrounds and we welcome applicants regardless of age, background, ethnicity, sexuality, relationship status or beliefs.

Why should I foster with Islington?

By fostering with Islington, you will be helping local children and young people stay near friends and family and you'll get round the clock training and support from a dedicated team of social workers. You will receive the same allowances you'd get through a fostering agency but save taxpayers money as there are no agency fees. This saving is then reinvested in supporting you and improving the care for the young people.
